Cold War: USAF F-15 Eagles intercept and escort two USSR MiG-29 jets above Alaska, USA. Canadian Armed Forces Major Bob Wade says the MiG-29s "came from the USSR into Alaska and spent the night at Elmendorf AFB on the 5th of August [1989]." The MiG-29s flew to Canada after their visit to the USA.
