Temnothorax americanus (the black ants) are a variety of Acorn Ant that raids nests of Temnothorax curvispinosus (the orange ants) to steal brood. Onced the orphaned brood hatches, they do all the work in the colony while the masters sit idly by. This is one of the closest nature gets to slavery.
