The giant horse (Equus giganteus) is an extinct species of horse which lived in N. America starting in the Blancan, and become extinct out about 12,000 years ago near the end of the Pleistocene. Standing up to 2.25 m (7 ft 5 in) tall at the shoulder and weighing 1200–1500 kg (2600- 3300 lb).
