The climax of the whole Knightfall Saga is why I feel it aged better than most of the big 90s superhero mega-events. Batman defeats Az-Bats not thru violence but with compassion, unusually nuanced for a big event. Of course, it's the fitting that climax would be written by Dennis O'Neil, who else?
