United Launch Alliance’s Vulcan Centaur rocket payload fairings successfully passed acoustic testing. The fairing was placed into a special acoustic chamber where it was exposed to launch representative noise levels (up to the noise level of approx. 1000 Boeing 747 jetliners on full throttle).
