Joseph Merrick's skeleton on display at the Royal London Hospital. He suffered a unique combination of many genetic disorders like Proteus syndrome and neurofibromatosis amongst others, died at 27 in 1890, some say he asphyxiated, others that the weight of his head broke his neck.
