Recently explored an abandoned bunker in Surrey UK. It was once part of the BBC Engineering Measurement and Receiving Station. Established in 1929 & closed in 1974. During the Cold War, it was the 1st receiver in the UK to detect signals from Sputnik 1 in October 1957. Link in comments for more.
